How we handle what you tell us, in plain language.

The short version
We collect your details so that up to two shed builders can quote your project. Those builders pay us for the introduction — under several US state privacy laws that counts as selling your personal information, so we say it plainly here. We never share your details with more than two builders, we set no cookies, and you can ask us to delete everything at any time.

Because we are established in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation applies to everything we do with your information, including when you are in the United States. Where a US state law gives you more, that applies too.

That is all of it. We do not buy information about you from anyone else, we do not build a profile, and we do not guess at anything you did not type in.
Cookies, tracking and what we count
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. There is no third-party analytics and no advertising tracker anywhere on this page, which is why you were not shown a consent banner.
We do count steps, and we would rather tell you than let you find it in a network tab. When the form comes into view, when someone reaches question three, when a field is rejected, when a request is sent — each of those adds one to a daily tally. That is how we find out that a question is confusing or a field is badly worded.
Those tallies are numbers, not records about a person. They carry no name, no email, no IP address and nothing that could be traced back to you, and they are not linked to your request. We keep them for ninety days.
One thing we do not control: our typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, and Google receives your IP address in order to serve them. We receive nothing from Google in return. Our hosting provider also logs IP addresses, as every web server does, in order to deliver the page and block abuse.
Who we share it with, and the fact that we are paid
When you complete the form, we pass your details to no more than two shed builders who serve your area and meet our rating standard. Those builders pay us a fee for each request we send them. That fee is how this site is free for you.
Several US state privacy laws define a disclosure of personal information in exchange for money as a sale. On that definition, we sell your personal information, and we would rather write that clearly than hide it in a definition. What it means in practice is exactly what the form told you: two builders, chosen by us, contacting you about the shed you asked about.
We do not sell your information to data brokers, marketing lists, insurers, lenders, or anyone else. We do not share it with more than two builders. We do not sell information about children.
Apart from the builders, your information is held by the suppliers who run our systems: our hosting provider and our email provider. They process it on our instructions only.
How to opt out of the sale, or stop everything
Email gabrielfrimpong2624@gmail.com with "Do not sell my information" in the subject line, and we will not pass your details to any builder.
If you have already been matched, say so and we will tell the builders to delete what we sent them — though a builder who has already contacted you holds that information under their own privacy policy, not ours.
Your rights
Whatever state or country you are in, you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete everything
- stop passing your details to builders
- withdraw the permission you gave, at any time
Email us and we will act on it within thirty days, usually far sooner. We will not charge you, and we will not ask you why.
If you are in the EU or the UK and you think we have handled your information badly, you may complain to your national data protection authority. In the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
How long we keep it
Requests are deleted 24 months after they come in. Earlier if you ask. We keep the record of your permission for as long as we keep the request itself, because without it we cannot show that we were allowed to pass your details on.
Where your information goes
We are in the Netherlands, our builders are in the United States, and our systems run in both. Your information will therefore be transferred to and stored in the United States. By completing the form you are asking us to do exactly that, since a builder in Texas cannot quote your shed without it.
Children
This site is for adults ordering a building on property they control. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us something, email us and we will delete it.
Security, honestly stated
Your details travel over an encrypted connection and are held in access-controlled systems. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise. If something goes wrong in a way that puts you at risk, we will tell you and the relevant authority.
Changes
If we change how any of this works, we will change this page and move the date at the top. If the change is significant and we still hold your details, we will email you.
